HOW TO CARE

There are two ways I can protect your tattoo once we’re finished:

ADHESIVE BANDAGE

If you are allergic to medical adhesives or one of the ingredients, you should not use this option and let me know beforehand. You can leave this bandage for up to 24/36 hours. It may come off before and that’s okay too. To remove, grab from one corner and gently peel off in the direction of hair growth.

CLING FILM

This is the standard in traditional ways of covering a tattoo. Leave on for two hours, remove, and wash according to aftercare details. If your tattoo has a lot of saturated, full black, you can leave the cling film for 24 hours, then remove and clean.

AFTERCARE

Moisturizing diligently is one of the most important parts of aftercare, fine lines and detailed tattoos need hydration so that the skin does not over-scab and absorb more ink than normal.

To help reduce peeling and to keep your tattooed skin healthy, use a natural antimicrobial soap to keep your tattoo clean after removing the bandage. Paper towel-dry. Use a thin layer of  moisturizer, I recommend tattoo balm or Lubriderm.

Re-apply 3 times a day during at least two weeks.

Do not scratch or soak! Avoid petroleum-based products.

You need to allow your tattoo to breathe. Wear loose, breathable, clean clothing.  Avoid exercise for at least 5 days.

You should NEVER submerge a new tattoo in water. This includes pools, hot tubs, baths, lakes, oceans, and puddles.

Remember tattoos are hand-made.

Appreciate the perfect imperfection of your artist, your skin and time.

It is all part of the art of a tattoo.
